Exciting News: We’re open to the public!

As some of you know, we opened the lab space to our members in June as part of Massachusetts’ phase 1 reopening that included research laboratories. In alignment with the state mandate and CDC guidelines, we implemented a COVID-19 training program for our members with new policies.

Here are just a few examples of the measures we are taking to keep everyone safe when you visit our space:

  • Access to hand sanitizer,

  • Frequent disinfection of works spaces and high touch surfaces,

  • Reduced staffing with social distancing,

  • Increased ventilation and

  • Mandatory wearing of masks.

The new policies have been working well and in July, we opened to the general public for scheduled tours and appointments. All visitors to the lab are required to take our online COVID-19 training. We are excited for the next stage which will include hosting small (2-3 person) classes. Coming soon are hybrid classes which will include an online lecture combined with a “hands on” lab that will take place in our space in Cambridge. Follow us on Meetup for more information about our current online classes and our upcoming hybrid classes.
